It is widely known that trade fairs and events have a significant impact on the climate. Visitors‘ travel, energy consumption for lighting and heating, and the waste generated during events contribute significantly to the carbon footprint. MesseZeit is aware of this problem and sees it as its responsibility to find solutions to minimise this impact. Trees are true climate protectors. They absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere, store carbon and release oxygen. By planting trees, we can offset the CO₂ emissions generated by our trade fairs and events and actively contribute to improving our climate. 

After every event we organise for you and every trade fair concept we implement, we plant a tree with a recognised environmental organisation. This organisation has the knowledge and experience to ensure that the trees are planted in the right locations and under the best conditions so that they can thrive and contribute to climate protection. 

This initiative is not only a step towards sustainability, but also a call to everyone to join in. Every trade fair, every conference, every event that we organise together contributes to more trees being planted. Together, we can make a big difference and have a positive impact on our environment. 

Our long-term goal is to plant a significant number of trees that not only offset the carbon footprint of our trade fairs and events, but also have a positive net effect on the environment. MesseZeit wants to set an example for other companies and organisations and show that sustainable action is both possible and necessary. The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges of our time. By planting trees, we can make an important contribution to combating this crisis. We are proud to take this step and look forward to your support. Together, we can create a greener, more sustainable future. 

After extensive research, we decided on the organisation PLANT-MY-TREE®. This organisation plants trees here in Germany. This gives us the opportunity to take sustainable action in over 110 German forests. The organisation has planted over a million trees in the last twenty years and also has its own forest nursery. The trees are planted specifically on its own land, which is not just leased for a few months. The trees are also cared for after planting and, above all, left alone. We humans need trees, but trees don’t need us. 

And what else makes PLANT-MY-TREE® so special? Not only trees but also corals are planted. This means that not only forests but also our oceans are being made a little bit better. 

Incidentally, I planted my first tree in Wächtersbach, which is practically just around the corner!
